cognitive analytic therapy (CAT)

what to expect

I currently work in two Edinburgh Specialist Outpatient Services as an accredited CAT practitioner. I offer short term psychological work for adults struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, along with those with a formal psychiatric diagnosis. I specialise in Eating Disorder and Trauma work..

Qualified as a Mental Health Nurse, I have worked in numerous NHS settings for tweny-four years, having previously gained a degree in English Literature. Completing a post-graduate qualification in cognitive analytic therapy has greatly added to my practice

In addition to CAT, I am experienced in numerous approaches to mental health issues- including psychoanalytic group work, anxiety/mood management, assertion/self- esteem training, behavioural family therapy, and mindfulness training. I am also an accredited CAT Supervisor.
